Data request

You can ask us to show you the personal information we hold about you, correct it, or delete it. This page is the route the privacy policy points to.

If you use the free version

There is almost certainly nothing for us to send you. The free version keeps your entries on your own device and never transmits them — no account, no copy on our side. Deleting the app deletes the entries with it, so make sure that is what you want.

If what you want is a copy of your entries, you already have it: open the app and use Profile → Export entries. It writes every entry to a file you save wherever you like, and it does not involve us at all — which also makes it the fastest way to keep your record before deleting the app.

The only thing we could be holding is a message you sent us yourself through Send feedback in the app, or an email you sent to support. If you want that removed, use the request form below and tell us roughly when you sent it.

If you have a Pro account or trial

The fastest route is inside the app: Profile → App → Delete account. That removes your account and the cloud copies of your entries.

What is deleted, and what is kept

Deleted: your account, the email address it was created with, and every entry we hold in the cloud — including the attributes, tags and personalisation synced with them. It goes at the moment you confirm, not on a schedule, and no backup copy is kept afterwards.

Kept — on your phone, not by us: the entries already on your device stay exactly where they are. That is deliberate. Deleting an account should not mean losing your own record, and those entries were never ours to delete. If you want them gone too, use Delete all entries in the app, or uninstall it.

One exception worth naming: a message you sent through Send feedback, or an email to support, sits in our support mailbox and is not linked to your account — so deleting the account does not remove it. Ask us and we will delete that too.

For anything else — access, correction, or a copy of your data — use the form:

Or email support@the2020.app and say what you are asking for.

What happens next

We have to check you are who you say you are before handing over or deleting anything — otherwise the request itself becomes a way to get at someone else's data. We will only use what you send us to verify the request, and we will act on it within the time applicable law allows.
